6 months, 3 terms, 120 sessions and 360 hours at Le Cordon Blue London.

Why did I decide to go to LCB? I have loved food for as long as I can remember, I sit eating my breakfast whilst planning my lunch and dinner. I am the person who gets overly excited talking about sandwiches, I come out of my shell when I talk about food. Why wouldn’t I study food for 6 months with like minded people?

There have been ups and downs, I have questioned if it was worth it. It isn’t all home baking victoria sponges, cookies and flapjacks, in fact we have not made any of the aforementioned, the chefs are training us to be the best professionals in the business. Think genoise sponge, pate sable and gateau opera, along with the sugar, chocolate and afternoon tea workshops.

My favourite parts? THE CHEESE LECTURES, boulangerie and the fabulous people I have met from all countries, careers and stages in life and we all have one thing in common – FOOD.

So where next? Back to the 9-5 grind with as much, if not more baking, cooking and recipes to come.
