I miss fashion, style, getting dressed up with a purpose. Anyone else feeling like this? For the first couple of weeks I thought, great, I can spend all day in sweats without a care in the world. Now, I’m desperate to put on a maxi dress, some espadrille wedges and my hoop earrings, welcoming the spring sun.

Office

My usual day to day looks weren’t formal office wear, but still conservative. My go to are a floral midi with black heeled boots. But not any black heeled boot, of course they had a leopard print heel. When I found these boots my friend and I knew straight away they were perfect for me, and very reasonable price!

On special days when I felt the office of 20 men and 4 women really needed brightening up I would pop on my pink loafers. I have had many comments on these shoes, mainly office jokes about where did I find a pink crocodile.

Out of Office

In all honesty, my out of office style doesn’t change much from my office. I always love a floaty dress, but I generally substitute in some trainers.

There is just nothing more comfortable than chucking on a floaty dress, some trainers, a statement earring, grabbing a cute handbag, maybe an oversized teddy coat in the winter and floating around the streets.

Why change the habits that I love. My style. Me.

When lounging around the house a dress is just as comfortable as sweats, no waistband, let alone an elasticate one! Trainers are perfect for the daily walk. I barely even need a handbag. And a nice earring switches a no make-up, lazy hair day to a slightly put together look.

Shopping

Today I have treated myself to update my spring wardrobe. I started browsing trusty Zara after having been influenced by Sara Tankel Ellis from We Are Twinset. Off I went into the depths of Zara and these are the gems I found and ordered!

Little silky slip midi dress in orange or black – £17.99

Black and white spot buttoned midi dress – £19.99

Pink Playsuit with ruffles – £15.99

Green and White Spot Midi Dress – £25.99

Ruffle Floral Wrap Mini – £25.99 – I also have this in the black and white polka dot already which is super cute!

Some blazers I also came across, I got the light pink cropped tweed blazer. I’m only 5ft 3 so cropped are better for me.

Pink oversized blazer – £59.99

Blue Tweed Blazer – £89.99

Peach Satin Co-Ord – £49.99
